At the 12th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) for the fiscal year 2022–2023, 19 development schemes worth Rs. 31,975.569 million for various sectors were approved.
Chairman of the Planning & Development Board and Interim Chief Secretary of Punjab, Abdullah Khan Sumbal, conducted the meeting.
Provincial Secretary P&D Board Dr. Muhammad Sohail Anwar Chaudhary, all Planning & Development Board members, provincial secretaries of concerned departments, and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial departments were also on board during the meeting.
The approved schemes include the following:
Basic Education Commission Services (BECS) & National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) at the cost of Rs. 1,471.388 million
The construction of Mohata Dam, Rawalpindi, at the cost of Rs3,890.625 million
Construction of underpass at Samanabad Morr, Multan Road, Lahore, at the cost of Rs. 2,061.560 million
Renovation of Lahore Raiwind Road from Lake City to Raiwind (10km length) in Lahore District, at the cost of Rs. 1,848.658 million
Renovation of the road from Raiwind Phatak to Sue-Asal (17.43km length) in District Lahore, at the cost of Rs. 828.234 million
Renovation of Ferozepur Road from Gajumata to Kasur (33km length), Kasur / Lahore at the cost of Rs. 6,578.139 million
The rehabilitation of the road from Nankana Sahib to Shahkot (28km length) in District Nankana Sahib at the cost of Rs2,493.218 million
Rehabilitation of Sangla Hill-Safdarabad Road (14.05km length) in District Nankana Sahib at the cost of Rs. 1,042.069 million was also approved.
The renovation of Sangla Hill-Motorway Interchange (M-4) road District Nankana Sahib at the cost of Rs. 528.715 million
Rehabilitation of Sangala Hill to Sukheki Road (22km length) in District Nankana Sahib at the cost of Rs. 1,314.280 million
Rehabilitation of Wazirabad to Daska Road Tehsil Wazirabad District Gujranwala section at the cost of Rs854.850 million
The renovation of the road from Awan Chowk to Bhag Chowk via Nowshera Virkan (42.70km length) in District Gujranwala at the cost of Rs. 1,028.813 million
The road from More Eminabad to Whando Interchange via Eminabad, Channian, Kotli Nawab Tehsil Kamoki District Gujranwala (20km length) at the cost of Rs. 711.123 million
Rehabilitation of Gujranwala-Sialkot Road at the cost of Rs. 561.006 million
Renovation of the road from Narowal to Shakargarh (36km length) in District Narowal at the cost of Rs. 1,637.650 million
Rehabilitation of Sialkot-Marala Road (12.50km length) in District Sialkot, at the cost of Rs. 1,261.598 million
Improvement of Wazirabad-Daska road Sialkot at the cost of Rs. 902.653 million
Rehabilitation of Gujranwala Pasrur Road section Gujranwala to Lahore-Sialkot Motorway at the cost of Rs. 757.36 million
Widening-improvement of Manga Raiwind Road (18km length) in District Lahore at the cost of Rs. 2203.630 million was also approved
